With Tilroy as a single point of contact for inventory, stores and webshop, we have found the efficiency and peace of mind we were looking for.
Maxime Heinderson, all round manager at Jan Maes

As a growing company with five stores and different concepts, Jan Maes faced various challenges. "I remember it like it was yesterday," Maxime Heinderson laughs. Maxime is all round manager at Jan Maes and represents the fourth generation of passion for mechanics, precision and beauty.

We wanted one point of contact for all our processes

"The learning curve for new employees was steep, we worked with several partners, and innovation was slow in coming. On top of that we often did double work. Our old system was outdated and worked with countless shortcut keys that made it hard for new employees. Moreover, the system was not intuitive," Maxime explains. "Our webshop ran on Drupal 7, which was end of life, and the integrations were managed by an expert who was heading for retirement. That made it unsustainable in the long run."

A robust and integrated solution

"With five stores and several concepts, such as a multi store setup and transfers between stores, we needed a more robust solution," Maxime continues. "What we were looking for was one point of contact for all our processes and seamless integration between inventory management, the physical stores and our webshop." After a thorough market analysis, in which Jan Maes compared various systems, Tilroy came out on top. "The omnichannel aspect was a basic requirement and Tilroy really excels at it. What won us over was the fact that Tilroy could take care of both the ERP functionality and the web design. That saved us the hassle of working with multiple partners."

Flexibility and custom work for a unique sector

Jan Maes operates in a niche market with specific needs, such as buying old gold and using certificates of authenticity. "Tilroy developed custom solutions for this. That gave us the confidence that they could support us fully," says Maxime.

Efficiency and ease of use

"One of the biggest advantages of Tilroy is that new employees get up to speed much faster. The system is intuitive and training time has become considerably shorter."
Maxime Heinderson

"In addition, inventory management is a lot more efficient. Tilroy developed specific features to streamline our multi store management, such as a clear overview of stock rotation and the ability to easily organise transfers between stores."

Ready for the future

Implementing Tilroy has given Jan Maes not only a modern system fully in their house style, but also an intuitive POS that makes the work easier for employees. "With Tilroy as one point of contact for inventory, stores and webshop, we have found the efficiency and peace of mind we were looking for," Maxime concludes contentedly. "It is clear that Tilroy is a partner that grows with us, and that gives us confidence for the future."
