The time savings are enormous
With its extensive personalization options, the KRC Genk Fanshop is of course not like a standard clothing store. "This feature that lets customers personalize items used to not be possible in Tilroy. It is of course very industry-specific. But Tilroy has the knowledge in house to build custom features. The possibilities now go even further than we thought," says David.
The new software also needed a good reward system and had to keep up with the promotions. "Every possible combination of promotions is possible." And, David adds: "Tilroy also simply looks good."
"Tilroy clearly has a lot of practical experience. They are close to the retailer."
The KRC Genk Fanshop has been working with the online POS system since July 2018. Since March it has been connected to a custom Tilroy webshop. Is the difference with before big? Absolutely.
Especially the connection with the inventory turned out to be very handy. "In the past I had to go and check in the store and mark on the webshop what was still available. Sometimes a pair of trousers left the store that had also been ordered in the webshop." David Hamal also loves the ease of use. Because of the rush around the championship, extra staff were temporarily needed. Colleagues from another department were brought in. "After an hour, a 'complete stranger' was running the store. They were even quick to understand how Click & Collect works. With our old system that would never have worked."
From order to Bpost label
The efficient workflow is also much appreciated. "I used to get a huge list of webshop orders. I had to click on every name separately and print a receipt. That alone took me half an hour. Then I had to tick off in Bpost which orders were ready and print the labels separately. Now I have one complete pick list with all orders, the Bpost labels roll out and customers automatically receive a confirmation email with a track & trace number."
"With Tilroy the workflow is now fully automated, from order to store. That saves an enormous amount of time."
KRC Genk Fanshop and Tilroy, a winning combination
In May, KRC Genk won the championship. The fanshop had bet on a win. A large batch of merchandise with the champions logo was ready. The impact on the fanshop? "It exploded. We had never experienced anything like it. On Thursday we won the title, on Friday at 10 am the store opened and by 1 pm the entire T-shirt stock was gone. We could barely keep up with the webshop orders either. It felt like Black Friday."
1,000 checkout transactions in 2 hours. Can Tilroy handle that? "Even though Tilroy runs in the cloud, it works surprisingly fast. It scans instantly and the item is registered in your POS right away." With those crowds, fast and efficient checkout mattered too: "The Bancontact terminal used to work separately and we had to enter amounts manually. That is how mistakes happen. Now the amounts are sent automatically."
